Journal by Mrs Elizabeth Hannah Bakewell of her voyage on the barque Sebastian, 364 tons, from Port Adelaide to Swansea, Wales, 17 July to 15 November 1861, and subsequent arrival in Birmingham, accompanied by her children. A son Frederick Arthur died as an infant on the voyage. Mrs Bakewell's journal includes references to the unsatisfactory conditions on board the Sebastian and comments about her fellow passengers. Mrs Bakewell and children returned to South Australia in 1864 on the Murray.
